Features of LM809 Accurate monitoring of power supply voltage Available threshold options: V 2.63, V 2.93, V 3.08, V 4.38, V 4.63 Excellent upgrade to Max809 and Max810 Fully specified overheating 140 ms minimum power-on reset pulse width, 240 milliseconds (typical) Low level effective reset output (LM809) High-level effective RESET output (LM810) Make sure the RESET output is valid for VCC ≥1v Low supply current, typically 15 ΜA Power transient immunity LM809 description The LM809 and LM810 microprocessor monitoring circuits can be used to monitor power supplies in microprocessors and digital systems. They provide a reset to the microprocessor in case of power-on, power-off, and power-down. The function of LM809 and LM810 is to monitor the VCC supply voltage and send a reset signal when the voltage drops below the factory-programmed reset threshold. After the VCC rises above the threshold, the reset signal remains valid for 240ms. The LM809 has a low-level effective RESET output, while the LM810 has a high-level effective RESET output. Seven standard reset voltage options are available for monitoring 5v, 3.3 V, and 3v supply voltages. The LM809 and LM810 have a power supply current of only 15 ΜA, making them ideal for portable devices.
